Join us for Run Heaton 5k, 10k & Half Marathon on March 22nd 2020.

This large park, just north of Manchester and home to a Grade 1 listed neoclassical 18th century house, is the perfect setting for a fun and frantic day out. Running on the paths within Heaton Park, this race is a great opportunity for a chip timed personal best. There will music, refreshments and a fantastic themed Heaton Park medal.

Start Times:

Half Marathon – 9:30am

5k  & 10k – 10:00am

Your entry will include: Chip timed results, Unique themed medal, Free official event photos and post race goodies!

Each mile is accurately marked out with distance flags and we have plenty of helpers to keep you on track and to encourage you on your way to the finish.

    Public transport

    Metrolink offers Park and Ride car parks right across the tram network which are free to use for Metrolink customers. The Park and Rides at Bury Interchange, Radcliffe and Whitefield offer a quick and easy way to get to Heaton Park and Bowker Vale stops, both of which are within walking distance of the park.     Heaton Park is served by the x35, 59, 90, 135, 149, 156, 164 and 484 buses. Visit www.tfgm.com/buses for more information and use the Route Explorer to plan your bus journey.
    Refreshments 

    There will be water provided on every lap of the race, and at the finish line alongside water, bananas and of course flapjacks!

    There will be a coffee van on site and the park cafe will be open for you to grab a post race snack.

    During the race

    The race will be lead by an individual on a bike.  The course is all on paths within the park. The 5k is one lap while the 10k is 2 laps. The Half Marathon course differs slightly from the 5k & 10k but we will have marshals and signs at all crucial points. 

    There will be a water station on each lap and at the finish line.

    Spectators

    The start and finish will be easily accessible for anyone wanting to come and watch the event. There is plenty of parking. Heaton Hall is beautiful and will be well worth a walk around afterwards.

    Results

    Results will be available on www.dartfordhalfmarathon.com after the race.

    Pictures

    We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race and they will be up on Facebook after the race so be sure to check it out and see if you can spot yourself.
